Brazilian Visas

Beginning April 10, 2025, the Brazilian government will require Americans, Australians, and Canadians to have visas to travel to Brazil. Fear not, though; the process is pretty painless both in terms of time and money. I would normally start with the online address, but there are a few things you need to have ready first: As usual, You Tube is a great source of information for a how-to like this. We recommend starting with this short video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cotk7SGi8aY. Go to the visa website: www.bronline.vfsevisa.com. The screen shown below will appear. After entering the initial data, click on the “Sign Up” link. A 5-digit code called an OTP will be sent to your email inbox. Once you enter that OTP in the designated field, you can begin the application. Mine was very smooth from that point on, and my visa arrived by email within two days. Note: There is a place in the process where you can trim down your picture to the specs required for the visa. The visa instructions ask for specific pixel counts but don’t let that worry you. The pixel counts for the x- and y-directions will be displayed as you bring in your photo. It should be pretty easy, but if you encounter any hitches we can help you. Finally, the site will ask for your visa application fee. The fee is $80.00 plus an additional $0.90 for the servicing fee. Total is $80.90 and you will receive an emailed receipt instantaneously. It will look like this: Be advised that you DO NOT have to have your airline ticket in order to obtain your visa. While the visa is valid for 10 years, the holder is limited to maximum continuous stays of 90 days. Contact us with any questions. Sampa Tour(281) 814-0093info@sampatour.com
Introduction To Your Stay In Ubatuba

Ahh. Ubatuba! Rita and I discovered this paradise a few years back. I felt like the early explorers who first set foot in the New World over 500 years ago. I’ve known many parts of Brazil but can’t help but wonder how I missed this oasis! This is one of the friendliest and most beautiful places I’ve encountered in the world, much less Brazil. Today I’m going to talk about food! Who doesn’t like that? One of the first things you’ll discover when traveling in Brazil is that you’ll never lack for breakfast! It’s standard for the hotel to fill you up as you start your day. The Brazilian breakfast is an array of fruits, breads, cakes, yogurts, and tropical juices to help you get off on the right foot. They will even make eggs for you! Another staple of Brazilian cuisine is Feijoada Completa, a Saturday tradition. Centered around black beans and rice, this dish dates back to the early 19 th century. Sausage, bacon, pork ribs, and other meats are mixed in along with side dishes and garnish to make a delicious lunch. Finally, no article about Brazilian dishes would be complete without mentioning Picanha, that special cut of meat that tastes so good when barbecued. This may be familiar to Americans who have gone to Brazilian steakhouses, although it’s hard to imagine the American version tasting as good as the meat on offer in Brazil! In sum, visitors will find a varied and robust selection of available food in Brazil. There’s nothing like good food to enhance the vacation experience! Thomas GoebelSampa Tour LLC
